Rajgarh is an important city of the state. It is a small but clean district. The Nevaj river flows in Rajgarh, which is called Nirvindhya in the scriptures. The fort of Narsinghgarh located in Rajgarh district is called Kashmir-e-Malwa. It is the largest district of Madhya Pradesh.The district is located on the western bank of the Parvati River at the northern end of the Malwa plateau. According to the 2011 census, Rajgarh has a population of 24,89,435. 81.39 per cent of the population lives in rural areas and 18.61 per cent in urban areas. The area has a sizeable number of Gujjar, Yadav and Mahajan voters. They play an important role in the victory of any candidate in the election.
