In the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP is eyeing the Kanpur seat as well as four other adjoining Lok Sabha seats. PM Modi will hold a roadshow in Kanpur on May 4. During this, he will take the message to the voters of Kannauj, Etawah, Jalaun, Akbarpur along with Kanpur. In view of the PM's roadshow and election campaign, the administration is engaged in improving security arrangements. Security couldn't even hit on such a bird. PM Modi's security will be no less than a battlefield, but with this election campaign and PM's roadshow, people of about 300 houses are most affected by PM's security and are feeling uncomfortable.

 

In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival in Kanpur on May 4 and the proposed roadshow, the biggest change has been made in the traffic system so far. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's road show on May 4 leaders were examined. The biggest Jhakrakati bus stand will also remain closed on this day. Buses will meet from Bakerganj. Similarly, ambulances will not be allowed to ply on GT Road. For them, green corridors will be arranged on other routes. Even after this, if any ambulance gets stuck, it can be contacted on the numbers issued by the traffic department (traffic control room number: 9305104340, 9454417453 or traffic helpline number 9305104387).

Cocacola Crossroads


Vehicles coming from Kalyanpur, Rawatpur side will not be able to go beyond Cocacola intersection. These vehicles will be able to take a left turn from the intersection and go from Ashoknagar to Harshnagar. Vehicles going towards Cocacola Chauraha will be able to take a right turn from Geetanagar crossing to Namak Factory Chauraha via Vijayanagar.

 

Acharya Nagar Tiraha


-Vehicles coming from Tatmil and Afim Kothi side, which have to go towards Jaribchowki, will not be able to go beyond Acharya Nagar Tiraha. These vehicles will be able to turn right from the diagonal and go through the musical talkies diagonal.

 

-Vehicles coming from Tatmil, which have to go towards Fazalganj, will not be able to go beyond Opium Kothi. Such vehicles will be able to take a left turn from the opium box.

 

BOB Chauraha Fazalganj

 

Vehicles going towards Fazalganj from Nandlal and Chawla side will not be able to go beyond the BOB intersection. These vehicles will be able to take a left turn from BOB intersection and go through Vijaynagar, Double Puliya via Fazalganj Fire Station.
 

Vijayanagar Chauraha

 

No vehicle will be allowed to move from Vijaynagar intersection towards Fazalganj intersection. Such vehicles will be able to go to their destination via Namak Factory, Double Puliya or Dadanagar.

 

Ambulance services suspended on GT Road from 2 pm to 9 pm.

 

- Ambulances will not run on GT Road from 2 pm to 9 pm on May 4. The traffic department has appealed that the ambulances which have to go towards Regency, Hallet, Cardiology, Madhuraj Hospital should not go through the GT Road and take an alternative route.

 

- Ambulances coming from Maharajpur, Narwal, Chakeri, Jajmau and Unnao will go to their destination via VIP Road from Bima Chauraha, JK Chauraha via Cantt.

 

- Ambulances coming from Ghatampur, Sajeti, Naubasta, Sarh, Bidhnu, Sen Paschim Para, Reuna, Barra, Gujaini, Hanumant Vihar, Govindnagar, Kidwai Nagar, Juhi will go from Vijaynagar intersection to Sabzi Mandi right and go through Marriyampur intersection, Paliwal Tiraha.

 

There is no diversion for ambulances coming from Bilhaur, Bithoor, Chaubeypur, Shivrajpur, Araul, Kakwan, Kalyanpur, Rawatpur, Panki. They will be able to come up to the roundabout normally.

 

Here's how buses will operate.

 

Roadways buses coming from Kannauj side, which have to go to Rawatpur bus stop or depot, will not be able to go beyond Gurudev Chowk. These buses will take a left turn from Gurudev Chauraha to Signature City Bus Stand. The Rawatpur bus depot will operate from here.

 

- Buses coming from Kanpur Dehat, which have to go towards Fazalganj, will not be able to go beyond Armapur. These buses will be operated from Armapur. Buses coming from Fatehpur and Maharajpur will reach Baker Ganj via Koylanagar, Yashodanagar by climbing over Ahirwan flyover and coming down from Mangalavihar ramp. Buses will operate from here.

 

- Buses coming from Lucknow will also not go to Jhakarkati Bus depot. These buses will reach Baker Ganj from Yashodanagar via Koyla Nagar after descending from Mangala Vihar ramp via flyover from Vishwakarma Dawar.

 

Private buses will remain closed.

 

- There will be a ban on the operation of private buses in the city from 4 am to 11 pm. All private buses operating from Fazalganj will be operated from Bhauti.

 

-Light goods vehicles coming from Unnao side will not be able to enter the city from Ganga Barrage. These vehicles will be able to go to their destination via Yashkothari Chauraha.

 

-Light goods vehicles coming from Mandhana will not be able to enter the city beyond Kalyanpur Bithoor Tiraha. Such vehicles will be able to go through the Namak Factory and Yashkothari Chauraha.

 

-Light Malwa vehicles of any kind will not be allowed to move from Vijaynagar Chauraha towards Fazalganj Chauraha. These vehicles will be able to go via Namak Factory, Double Puliya and Dadanagar.

 

-Light goods vehicles coming from Naubasta and Barra crossroads will not be able to enter the city.

 


- Light goods vehicles coming from Maharajpur will not be able to come beyond Ahirwan underpass. These vehicles will be able to go from Mangalavihar, Naubasta through the flyover. Light goods vehicles coming from Unnao will not be able to go beyond Bima Chauraha towards Ramadevi, Old Chungi Jajmau.

 

Train services will be affected for four hours. 

 

Apart from this, the route through which the PM will pass and his roadshow will also have two railway crossings which will not be closed for 4 hours during the roadshow. Preparations have started for this. The railways will stop all trains on the Zarib Chowki and Anwarganj route for 4 hours. Along with this, half a dozen major trains originating from this route will be affected by the roadshow. Along with this, commandos will also be deployed for security at all big and high-rise buildings falling on the route. The commandos of 90 ATS will keep an eye on the roadshow and the PM with telescope guns and take action if anything goes wrong. Along with this, drone cameras will also be monitored.
