Mathura, known as the holy city of Lord Krishna, is a Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh in North India. Politically, Mathura's stature had increased after Dream Girl and Bollywood actress Hema Malini won from here in the last election. According to 2014 data, the Mathura Lok Sabha constituency has a total of 17 lakh voters, of which 9.3 lakh are male and over 7 lakh are female voters. Chhata, Mant, Govardhan, Mathura and Baldev Assembly seats fall under the Mathura Lok Sabha constituency.
Lok Sabha elections 2019: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP's Hema Malini won from this seat, she got 6,71,293 votes. Kunwar Narendra Singh of the RLD came second with 3,77,822 votes and Mahesh Pathak of the Congress came third with 28,084 votes.
