Mainpuri Election Result Highlights: Dimple Yadav, candidate of the Samajwadi Party won the Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh Constituency constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 5,98,526 votes. BJP's Jayveer Singh lost the election by a margin of by 2,21,639 votes.

Mainpuri is an assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh. Mainpuri is the administrative headquarters of the district and is located north-east of Agra. It is 270 km from New Delhi. Mainpuri is located in the Braj region, which holds special religious significance for Hindus as the homeland of Krishna. As of 2011, Mainpuri had a population of 1,36,557.There are a total of 5 assembly seats in this Lok Sabha constituency. These are Mainpuri, Bhogaon, Kishni, Karhal and Jaswantnagar. Jaswantnagar is the assembly constituency of Shivpal Yadav. In the 2017 assembly elections, only Bhogaon of these went to the Bharatiya Janata Party, while all the other 4 seats went to the SP.


Lok Sabha elections 2019: There were 12 candidates in the fray from Mainpuri for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where the main contest was between Mulayam Singh Yadav of the SP and Prem Singh Shakya of the BJP.  In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mulayam Singh Yadav of SP won from this seat, he got 5,24,926 votes. BJP's Prem Singh Shakya came second with 4,30,537 votes. BJP's K. Surendra Singh came third with 2,631 votes.
