Kurukshetra Election Result Highlights: Naveen Jindal, candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Kurukshetra, Haryana Constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 5,42,175 votes. AAP candidate Dr. Sushil Gupta lost the election by a margin of by 29,021 votes.
In Kurukshetra 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Naveen Jindal, candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party defeated AAP candidate Dr. Sushil Gupta, who received 5,13,154 votes.

Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat was formed in 1977, before which this area used to come under Kaithal Lok Sabha. The Congress had won the seat in 1984, 1991, 2004 and 2009. But the BJP's lotus bloomed here for the first time in the Modi wave last time. Naveen Jindal, a two-time MP from the seat, came third. There are a total of 9 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Kurukshetra. The constituencies are Ladwa, Shahabad, Thanesar, Pehowa, Radaur, Guhla, Kalayat, Kaithal and Pundri.
There are religious beliefs that the Mahabharata war took place in Kurukshetra itself, and Lord Krishna preached the Gita to Arjuna at a place called Jyotisar here. The huge pond located here was built by King Kuru, the ancestor of the Kauravas and Pandavas mentioned in the epic Mahabharata. The name Kurukshetra symbolizes the region of Kuru. Kurukshetra has been described at many places in the Rigveda and Yajurveda, the mythical river Saraswati here also has special significance.
