Mahua Moitra of All India Trinamool Congress Party (AITC) and MP of Krishnanagar was declared the winner of the Krishnanagar constituency of West Bengal by securing a total vote of 628789 by defeating the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ashok Purkait in West Bengal by 56705 votes.
