Mala Roy of the All India Trinamool Congress Party (AITC) and MP of Kolkata Dakshin was declared the winner of the Kolkata Dakshin constituency of West Bengal by securing a total vote of 615274 by defeating Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Debashree Chaudhuri in West Bengal by 187231 votes.
