BJP's Anurag Sharma won against INC candidate Pradeep Jain. BJP's Anurag Sharma got a total of 6,90,316 votes. INC candidate Pradeep Jain got 5,87,702 votes. BJP's Anurag Sharma won the seat by 1,02,614 votes.

Jaunpur Election Result Highlights: Anurag Sharma, candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Jhansi constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 6,90,316 votes. INC candidate Pradeep Jain lost the election by a margin of by 1,02,614 votes.

 

In Jaunpur Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Anurag Sharma, candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party defeated INC candidate Pradeep Jain, who received 5,87,702 votes.

Jhansi is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. Jhansi played an important role in the freedom struggle of 1857, Rani Lakshmibai fought the British and gave them iron grams. Because of him, Jhansi was recognized all over the world. The Jhansi Lok Sabha seat has a total population of 27,57,007 as per the 2011 census. Of this, 66.4 per cent is rural and 33.6 per cent is urban. As per the 2017 assembly elections, there are a total of 19,91,832 voters and 2,075 polling stations in this Lok Sabha seat. The Scheduled Caste population is 24 per cent and the Scheduled Tribe population is 2.27 per cent in this seat. Moreover, Yadav and Brahmin voters play a crucial role. Muslims constitute 9 per cent of the electorate, Sikhs 2 per cent and Jains 3 per cent.


Lok Sabha elections 2019: A total of 11 candidates are in the fray for the Jhansi Lok Sabha seat. The BJP has replaced Union minister and firebrand leader Uma Bharti with Anurag Sharma. He was challenged by Samajwadi Party's Shyam Sundar Singh. The Congress had given ticket to Sivasaran. Apart from this, four independents were in the fray along with Kisan Raksha Party, Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia), Swatantra Janata Raj Party, Bundelkhand Kranti Dal. 2019 Lok Sabha election was a thumping victory for BJP in the state. BJP's Anurag Sharma won the seat by a huge margin.
