The Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha constituency, formerly known as Bagaha, is located in the far north of Bihar, bordering Nepal. Established in 2008 after the 2002 delimitation, it has experienced a political shift from Congress to BJP, with Satish Chandra Dubey winning in the 2014 elections.

 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, JD(U)'s Vaidyanath Prasad Mahto secured victory with 602,660 votes, while Congress's Shashwat Kedar received 248,044 votes.
