Rachana Banerjee of the All India Trinamool Congress Party (AITC) was declared the winner of the Hooghly constituency of West Bengal by securing a total vote of 702744 by defeating the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate and former BJP MP of Hooghly Locket Chatterjee in West Bengal by 76853 votes.
