Firozabad is an assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh. National Highway 19 passes through the district. The Firozabad Lok Sabha constituency comprises five assembly segments - Tundla, Jasrana, Firozabad, Shikohabad and Sirsaganj. Firozabad is one of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. As per the 2011 population data, Firozabad region has more than 15 per cent Muslim population, which means Muslim voters are in a decisive position here. According to the 2014 general election data, there are more than 16 lakh voters, out of which more than 9 lakh are male and more than 7 lakh are female voters.
Lok Sabha elections2019: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP's Chandra Sen Jadaun won the Firozabad seat, getting 4,95,819 votes. Akshay Yadav of the Samajwadi Party came second with 4,67,038 votes and Shivpal Singh Yadav of the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) was third with 91,869 votes. The voter turnout in Firozabad Lok Sabha seat was 59.71 per cent.
