Dr. Sharmila Sarkar of All India Trinamool Congress Party (AITC) was declared as the winner of the Bardhamman Purba constituency of West Bengal by securing a total vote of 730302 and defeating BJP candidate Ashim Kumar Sarkar by 170572 votes.
