Balaghat Election Result Highlights: Bharti Pardhi, candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh Constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by 7,12,660 votes. INC candidate Samrat Ashok Singh Saraswar lost the election by a margin of by 1,74,512 votes.

Balaghat district occupies a glorious place on the mineral map of the country. About 80% of the country's manganese is produced from Balaghat. The city was earlier known as Budha. Balaghat district is rich in forest wealth.According to the 2011 census, the population of Balaghat is 2361361. 84.79 per cent of the population lives in rural areas and 15.21 per cent in urban areas. Balaghat has 7.91 per cent Scheduled Castes and 24.73 per cent Scheduled Tribes population. According to the Election Commission data, there were 16,29,769 voters in the 2014 elections. Of these, 8,07,102 were female voters and 8,22,667 were male voters. In the 2014 elections, the voter turnout was 68.31 per cent.
Lok Sabha elections 2019: BJP's Dhal Singh Bisen got 6,96,102 votes (won), Congress' Madhu Bhagat got 4,54,036 votes, BSP's Kankar Munjare got 85,177 votes
