Badaun, a Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Badaun, an ancient city in Uttar Pradesh, is a Lok Sabha constituency. It is located in the Uttar Pradesh region of Rohilkhand. Badaun serves as a religious district for both Muslims and Hindus. Muslim and Yadavvoters dominate the constituency. The Badaun Lok Sabha seat has five assembly segments: Bisauli, Gunnaur, Badaun, Bilsi and Sahaswan. The Samajwadi Party is believed to have a stronghold in the Badaun Lok Sabha constituency, where it has won all six previous Lok Sabha elections.

 

In 2019, there were 9 candidates in the from Badaun Lok Sabha constituency. The main contest was between the BJP and the Congress. The Congress has fielded Saleem Iqbal Sherwani. There were also 4 independent candidates.

 

BJP's Sanghamitra Maurya won the seat with 5,11,352 votes. Dharmendra Yadav got 4,92,898 votes. Congress candidate Salim Iqbal Sherwani came third with 51,947 votes.
