Tapir Gao of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the 2024 Arunachal East Lok Sabha constituency election, securing 145,581 votes and defeating Bosiram Siram of the Indian National Congress by 74,197 votes.

In Arunachal East Constituency 2024 Lok Sabha Election Results, Tapir Gao of the Bharatiya Janata Party is declared the winner, securing 145581 votes and surpassing Bosiram Siram of the Indian National Congress by 74197 votes.

Arunachal East is one of the two Lok Sabha constituencies in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. This constituency encompasses the entire Upper Siang, East Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit, Anjaw, Changlang, and Tirap districts. Arunachal Pradesh has a 60-member assembly, with 27 seats falling under the Arunachal East parliamentary constituency. The election for this constituency was successfully held on April 19th, achieving a voter turnout of 76.37 percent.

 

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, veteran BJP leader Tapir Gao triumphed over Congress candidate Jam Lochanacha Wanglet, securing 1,53,883 votes.
