New Delhi: On Thursday, Atishi, a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), asserted that if the party engages in a seat-sharing arrangement with the Congress for the Lok Sabha polls, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of AAP and the Chief Minister of Delhi, is likely to face arrest within the next three to four days. During a press conference, she further alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is expected to serve a notice to Kejriwal either on Saturday or Sunday.
Atishi asserted, "As discussions on an alliance between AAP and Congress reportedly approach the final stages, AAP leaders are urged to commence meetings from Wednesday evening. Messages suggest that entering into a seat-sharing agreement with Congress could lead to Kejriwal's arrest." The Delhi minister claimed that messengers informed him of a potential CBI notice on Saturday or Sunday, followed by Kejriwal's arrest. The messengers emphasized that staying out of jail was contingent on Kejriwal severing ties with the opposition party in India. The finalization of the alliance between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in Delhi appears imminent, with both parties' leaders expected to officially announce the alliance in a day or two.
