On 11 July 2024, A woman was raped and killed by Three priests near Thane Temple. The three man were working at temple as helpers. Now they are arrested by Sil Daighar police station. 

The Shil Daighar registerred a case under Indian Judicial Code sections 103(1), 70(1) and 238. With the help of CCTV footage police identified two suspects working as temple helpers.

Three priests are:

Shyam Sundar Sharma (62), Kota Rajasthan 
Santosh Mishra (45), Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh
Rajkumar Pandey (54), Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh

It was said by three monks who were raping women, "Brahmins are gods." All three are arrested by Sil Daighar police station in brutal gang rape and murder of a 30 years old woman.
