Dr Abhishek Shukla is MD FRCP (Edinburgh) MAAFP (USA) Certified Specialist Palliative Medicine (Cardiff, UK), PGDDM (MAHE), PG Diploma Geriatric Care, Post Graduate Diploma in Endocrinology & Diabetes (UK).
Dr Shukla is the founder and secretary of the Lucknow based palliative care charitable non-profit organization Aastha Centre for Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care Hospital & Hospice. He serves as the Association of International Doctors' secretary general. Shukla was chosen to serve on the Rajya Parishad, the state council for senior citizens, in 2022. Dr. Shukla has made outstanding contributions to palliative care and geriatric medicine.
