Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially off the country's first 'Vande Metro' train between Bhuj and Ahmedabad as well as several other Vande Bharat trains during his visit to Gujarat on Monday. He would also open the Gandhinagar Metro Rail project.
The Global Renewable Energy Investment Meet and Expo 2024 in Gandhinagar, as well as the launching and laying of foundation stones for numerous development projects valued at over Rs 8,000 crore, are among the Prime Minister's other events. Vande Bharat trains will run on several routes, including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubli, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt-Banaras, and Ahmedabad, Durg-Visakhapatnam.
Gandhinagar will be included in the metro rail service during the second phase:

Eight Gandhinagar stations will be linked to the metro rail system during the initial phase of construction. These stations are Akshardham, Sector 16, Sector 24, Mahatma Mandir, and Jivraj Mehta Bhawan (Old Secretariat).
Gujarat National Law University, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gujarat Infotech City, Raisan Gaon, Infocity, and Sector 1 will all be connected to Gandhinagar by the second phase of the metro rail project, which will run between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. There will be eight stations on the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro.
