Prime Video's Mission Start Ab, a billion Dollar Opportunity for New Businesses

Mission Start Ab is an Indian business reality television series that premiered on December 19, 2023, on Prime Video. It is the first season having 7 episodes. The show, which is hosted by Masaba Gupta and Cyrus Sahukar, was conceived as a part of Prime Video's collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India.


The Mission Start Ab reality show featuring ten startups vying for mentorship and funding from industry leaders. This series is giving the opportunity to each participant to get the funding from investors for their newly startup companies. On "Mission Start Ab," ten early-stage entrepreneurs will receive guidance from seasoned investors as they pursue "the deal of a lifetime. The difficulties they encounter—such as their encounters with Rohit Shetty and Ritesh Agarwal—give the show authenticity and relevance to real life. Mission Start Ab provides an overview of the founder's life, including all of its highs and lows, and unearths hidden gems from India. 

 

There are five challenges rounds and participants are eliminated as per their performance. The remaining participants got the chance to discuss about funding with hree main judges and investors.

 

The winners received funding for their startup. The program is a useful tool for aspiring inventors all around the nation.

 

In the competitive reality series Mission Start Ab, three elite investors select ten exceptional early-stage entrepreneurs by hand. They will encounter constant obstacles throughout the series that will put their entrepreneurial skills to the test. The founders who are still standing get the opportunity of a lifetime: a possible investment in their startups. Every founder's dream deal is at stake, and it's all on the line.

 

After reaching the final round, the five startups—PensionBox, YatriKart, Redesyn, JioVio, and DTown Robotics—had the chance to speak with investors Kunal, Anisha, and Manish regarding funding. However, JioVio, YatriKart, Redesyn, and PensionBox were the fortunate businesses to get the funding from investors.


Judges:

There are three main judges and self investors in the show.

Kunal Bahl: Kunal is a serial entrepreneur, investor, founder and former CEO of e-commerce company Snapdeal. Bahl completed his education from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds two bachelor's degrees in Entrepreneurship, Operation & Information Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is on the board of governors of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations.

 

Manish Chowdhary: Manish is the co-founder and CEO of Wow Skin Science India.

 

Anisha Singh: Anisha is an serial business entrepreneur, founder and CEO of She Capital. She is also founder and former CEO of Mydala. She has completed her masters from  from American University in Washington, D.C.. Anisha Singh is also the president of the jury of the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards for the South Asia-Oceania region.

Gaurav Rana and Shivangee Sharma: Founders of Yatrikart, a retail and B2B company founded in 2021, which is revolutionising the way last-mile retailers conduct business.  

 

Shikhar Vaidya and Smriti Dubey: Founders of Redesyn, established in 2013, to help content creators like designers and influencers to monetise their passion. 

 

Senthil Kumar and Dhinesh Pandian: Founders of JioVio, a healthtech startup established in 2017 to bridge the gap between pregnant mothers and the medical system using artificial intelligence-powered products. 

 

Manas Upadhyay and Avinash Chandra Pal: Founders of DTown Robotics, established in 2018, is transforming agriculture and defence with drones and robots. 500+ smart farming initiatives and empowered 100+ defence personnel.

 

Shivam Parashar and Kuldeep Parashar: Founders of PensionBox, established in 2021, is building India's first digital pension app.  



 

Nikhil Bansal and Ayushi Sinha: Founders of Alippo, established in 2021, a live upskilling and empowerment platform for women.  (eliminated in episode6)

 

 

Sumedh Deshpande: Founder of Daybreak, a dental care startup established in 2022, provides functional and biocompatible dental products.  (eliminated in episode5)

 

Royal Tomar and Rohan Rajpal: Founders of Spur, established in 2021, provides omnichannel helpdesk, marketing, and commerce integration for ecommerce stores. (eliminated in episode3)

 

Devkar Saheb: Founder of Shri Chyawan Ayurved, established in 2018, offers Ayurvedic products based on well-researched principles. (eliminated in episode2)

 

Dipika Jaikishan and Hena Mehta: Founders of Basis, established in 2019, a Fin-tech Startup which financially empowers women. (eliminated in episode1)
