Last night, the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2024 lit up the Prudential Center in Newark, celebrating the biggest names in the music industry. The star-studded event, known for its iconic performances and surprising moments, did not disappoint, with artists like Taylor Swift, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan emerging as major winners.
The MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Year was awarded to Sabrina Carpenter for Espresso. The first prize for greatest collaboration at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards was awarded to Taylor Swift and Post Malone.
As the first-ever host, Megan Thee Stallion welcomed the audience and joked about how the VMAs now stand for the "voluptuous Megan awards." Later on, she performed. LISA of BLACKPINK made her debut on the VMA stage as a solo performer, soaring through her two brand-new tracks, Rockstar and New Woman. After much anticipation, Shawn Mendes returned.
