Ace Indian badminton player PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, has entered a new chapter in her life as she got engaged to Venkata Datta Sai in a private ceremony attended by close family and friends. The joyous event was held on Sunday in Hyderabad, with the couple radiating happiness in a simple yet elegant celebration. On December 22, Sindhu will marry Venkata, who is from Hyderabad, in Udaipur.
Soon after the former world champion broke a lengthy championship drought with victory at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow last month, the news of Sindhu's marriage emerged. Venkata, Sindhu's fiancée, works for Posidex Technologies as an executive director.
The wedding-related activities are scheduled to start on December 20. "Even though the two families were acquainted, everything was only settled a month ago. Since her schedule will be busy starting in January, this was the only window that could work," Sindhu's father, PV Ramana said.
Thus, the two families chose to hold the marriage ceremony on December 22. The reception will take place in Hyderabad on December 24. Soon after, she will begin training because the upcoming season will be crucial.
With her ever-inspiring journey on and off the court, PV Sindhu continues to be a role model, not only as a champion athlete but also as someone who balances personal happiness with professional success.
