Ajay Devgn is all set to step into the wilderness for his upcoming action drama Ranger, which is scheduled to begin filming in the last week of March. Directed by Mission Mangal fame Jagan Shakti, the film will be shot extensively in the dense forests of Ooty.
In Ranger, Devgn plays Ranger Singh, a rookie forest officer who takes on the dangerous world of animal poaching. Adding to the excitement, Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to play the film’s antagonist and is expected to join the shoot later.
The movie is based on the 2018 book titled "Ranger" written by Aseem Arora and Richa Ganesh, with Arora himself adapting the screenplay. Backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, Ranger promises to be a gripping action-thriller with a strong environmental message.
Currently, Ajay Devgn is juggling multiple projects, including Son of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2, before heading into Ranger’s intense shoot schedule.
The film is slated for a mid-2026 release, and with Devgn and Dutt reuniting on-screen, expectations are already high for this high-octane forest adventure.
