In a breakthrough, Agastya Nanda, son of Sweta Nanda and grandson of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, is set to take center stage in Shriram Raghavan's upcoming war drama, "Ekkis." The young actor, riding high on the success of his recent Netflix release, 'Archies,' has garnered widespread acclaim for his compelling performance.
"Ekkis" promises to be a gripping portrayal of the life of 1971 war hero Arun Khetrapal. Director Shriram Raghavan, known for his prowess in crafting mystery, thriller, and dark cinema, has expressed immense confidence in Agastya's ability to bring depth and authenticity to the character.
Interestingly, Varun Dhawan was initially the director's top choice for the lead role, but due to scheduling conflicts, Varun had to step down, paving the way for Agastya Nanda to seize the opportunity.
Shriram Raghavan's track record of delivering box office hits, including acclaimed films like "Badlapur" and "Andhadun," adds an extra layer of anticipation for "Ekkis." His upcoming project, "Merry Christmas," starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, is also generating buzz and is scheduled for release on January 5, 2024.
As Agastya Nanda gears up to make his mark in the film industry, "Ekkis" stands poised to be a milestone in his burgeoning career, adding another chapter to the Raghavan legacy of crafting compelling and unforgettable cinema.
