At the National Media Center in New Delhi on Friday, the 70th National Film Awards winners were revealed. The President will present awards to the top Indian films, in all languages, for 2022 in a ceremony that will take place later. The discussion was open to feature and non-feature films that received Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certification between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. Rahul Rawail, the chairman of the feature film jury, Nila Madhab Panda, the chairperson of the non-feature film jury, and Gangadhar Mudalair, the chairperson of the best writing on cinema panel, make up this year's jury.
The Best Feature Film award awarded to the Malayalam movie Aattam, while Rishab Shetty took home the Best Actor award. Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh shared the Best Actress title.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the award ceremonies have been postponed by two years. During the 69th National Film Awards in 2023, the top Indian films approved in 2021 were recognized. Allu Arjun took home the Best Actor trophy, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the Best Actress title, while Rocketry took home the Best Feature Film title.
