India has taken a significant step forward in skill development. The country's first results-based microcredit course for computer science education has been launched through a collaborative effort between the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Masai School. This program targets professionals seeking to upskill themselves with in-demand technical expertise for the current job market.
This microcredit program will offer education in computer science and engineering (CSE). The curriculum will involve a credit-based system covering essential topics like programming, mathematics for computer science, data structures and algorithms, databases, system design, and operating system networking.
Commenting on the initiative, Prateek Shukla, co-founder and CEO of Masai School, stated their mission has always been to equip students with practical skills that directly translate to success in the tech industry. He emphasized that this collaboration with NSDC and IIT Guwahati exemplifies their commitment to revolutionizing technical education and preparing future tech professionals for the challenges ahead.
