The wait is over for lakhs of engineering graduates in India. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has declared the results for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. Candidates who took the exam on February 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th can now check their results on the official GATE 2024 website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.
To access their results, candidates will need to use their enrollment ID or email address and password. The GATE result will include details such as the candidate's score, All India Rank (AIR), marks secured in each section of the exam, and the qualifying marks.
The results announcement comes alongside the release of the cut-off marks for GATE 2024 for each of the 30 exam papers. These cut-offs determine whether a candidate has qualified for admissions to postgraduate engineering programs (M.E., M.Tech., Ph.D.) or for recruitment by Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) that utilize GATE scores.
While the results are out, the GATE scorecards will not be available for download until March 23rd, 2024. Candidates can download their scorecards from the GOAPS portal after logging in with their credentials. The scorecards will be accessible for download until May 31st, 2024, with an option to download them later for an additional fee after the deadline. The GATE score remains valid for a period of three years.
This announcement marks a significant milestone for engineering graduates seeking to pursue higher education or land placements in coveted PSUs. It is recommended that candidates check their results carefully and explore the next steps based on their scores and career aspirations.
