Delhi Fire Tragedy: 7 Newborns Killed in Children's Hospital Blaze

A terrible fire at a children's hospital in Delhi on Saturday night resulted in the deaths of seven newborn babies. Firefighters heroically rescued twelve infants from the blaze, but sadly seven did not survive. The cause of the fire is still unknown. This tragedy comes after another fire in Rajkot claimed at least 27 lives.

Seven newborns tragically lost their lives after a massive fire ripped through a children's hospital in Delhi, India on Saturday night. The fire broke out at a baby care center in the Vivek Vihar area, leaving several others injured.

 

Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the emergency call at 11:32 pm and battled the blaze throughout the night. While twelve newborns were bravely rescued from the inferno, seven succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment. 

 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. 

 

Hospital staff managed to evacuate other patients and children to safety. One rescued infant remains in critical condition on a ventilator, while five others are undergoing treatment.

 

This heartbreaking incident comes just hours after another devastating fire in Rajkot, Gujarat, where at least 27 people perished in a crowded gaming zone fire.

 

Officials are offering support to the families affected by this tragedy in Delhi.
